Payment fees
2.9% plus 30¢ an order until we can do better. Grant the optional payments scope and Cleartill reads the actual processor fee per order and books it to the day of the sale, not the day the payout landed.
Net profit for Shopify stores
Cleartill reads your orders and subtracts what they actually cost you: COGS, payment fees, shipping, and ad spend, along with discounts and refunds. One honest number, in your shop’s own timezone, updated as the orders land.

Everything else is the app’s own arithmetic: 2.9% + 30¢ per order in payment fees, $68 average order, $6.40 to ship one, and 14% of sales on ads. Fees and shipping are marked estimated until your payout and shipping data say otherwise.
Line 04 / COGS
Most catalogs carry no unit cost, and without it net profit is not a hard problem, it is an impossible one. So Cleartill fills the blanks, and is loud about which numbers are yours and which are ours.
| Variant | Price | Unit cost | Where it came from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ridge Fleece · Large / Charcoal | $58.00 | $21.40 | From Shopify |
| Trail Cap · One size | $32.00 | $8.15 | AI · high |
| Camp Mug 12oz | $24.00 | $9.00 | Yours |
| Sticker pack · 5 designs | $6.00 | $1.35 | AI · low |
Your blended margin, as you confirm costs
Nothing confirmed41% ±30Top sellers confirmed43% ±9All confirmed44%Your numbers win, always. A cost you typed, or one already in Shopify, is treated as fact. An AI estimate only ever fills a variant that has never had a cost, and nothing automated overwrites a number you entered.
A guess that cannot run away. Every estimate is checked against the product it was asked about, clamped to between 3% and 95% of that variant’s price, and dropped rather than invented if it comes back wrong. Estimates are visible, and they carry how sure they are.
Your margin gets sharper as you confirm. The cost screen shows your blended margin as a range that narrows every time you replace one of our guesses with the real figure, so you can see exactly how much of your margin is still a guess.
It runs when there is something to run on. Estimating happens after a sync, never on a page you opened, and it is capped so it cannot run away with anyone’s money, ours or yours.
Line 09 / Net, per product
Every product carries its own share of fees, shipping and ad spend, so the ranking is by what each one actually leaves behind. The rows add up to the shop total exactly: no cent is invented, and none goes missing.
| Product | Sold | Revenue | Net after everything |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ridge Fleece | 148 | $8,584 | +$2,190 |
| Trail Cap | 210 | $6,720 | +$1,406 |
| Camp Mug 12oz | 96 | $2,304 | −$188 |
| Sticker pack | 302 | $1,812 | +$402 |
| Other, 43 products | 1,904 | $28,580 | +$12,025 |
Camp Mug 12oz sells well and loses money on every unit. That is the finding this screen exists for, and a revenue report will never show it to you.
Line 02 / Discounts
A discount line is a single number until you ask which campaign spent it. Codes, automatic discounts and manual price edits are kept apart, so a one-off adjustment is never reported to you as a campaign.
| Discount | Kind | Orders | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| WELCOME10 | Code | 140 | −$952 |
| SUMMER20 | Code | 45 | −$612 |
| Buy 2, save 10% | Automatic | 38 | −$437 |
| Free shipping, unattributed | Residual | 29 | −$159 |
| Discounts line | 252 | −$2,160 |
Lines 05 to 08 / Fees, shipping, ads
Each of these starts as a defensible estimate and is replaced by the real figure the moment the real figure exists.
2.9% plus 30¢ an order until we can do better. Grant the optional payments scope and Cleartill reads the actual processor fee per order and books it to the day of the sale, not the day the payout landed.
What it cost you to ship, and what you charged for shipping, side by side and never netted into one figure. A store spending $4,518 to collect $2,047 cannot see that in a single line, which is the whole reason there are two.
Connect Meta and Google and the daily spend arrives each night. Only spend: no campaigns, no creatives, no audiences. The last 14 days are re-read every night because both platforms revise them. Or type one number a day and skip all of it.
Before line 01
A profit figure is only worth what its inputs are worth, so here is exactly what Cleartill reads and what it never asks for.

Billed by your orders over the trailing 30 days, through Shopify, on your Shopify invoice.
Your net profit number never stops working, on any plan, at any volume. Free stores past the limit keep the headline figure and lose the breakdown; a store that pays us is never gated, even over its limit. If a cheaper rung would fit you, the app says so.
